I) Activations
1) Europe
Amsterdam and Paris data centers are now up to date with activations, meaning that they are now activating according to plans! Although there are still some cases that need to be addressed and should be solved any time soon.
As for Gravelines data center (Ultra and Infinite in Europe), users outside of France will get the correct IP next Tuesday during a small maintenance (their Shadow might get disconnected while it is being sorted out)!
2) USA
Activations are made monday through thursday. Here is the ETA regarding activations in all 4 data centers.
California (SV2): Active Delays. (around 4-6 weeks) times vary and may be lower or higher
New York (NY1): Active Delays. (around 5-7 weeks) times vary and may be lower or higher
Chicago (CH1): Active Delays. (around 5-7 weeks) times vary and may be lower or higher
Texas (TX1): Active Delays. (around 5-7 weeks) times vary and may be lower or higher

II) The iOS and AppleTV apps are back!

1) The iOS app
After hard work developing, adapting and fine-tuning the Shadow iOS app, it’s finally time.
The iOS App is back and not only that, the Shadow app will also be available on iPad too!
Since the app was last back in action in February, you’ll see that some things have been improved and others let go. Here is a light changelog to give you an overview of how the app looks now.
Changes:
- Improved Display Management
- Automatically adapt the resolution of your Shadow computer to your screen
- Added an alert when you use Shadow on a mobile network
- Added ‘Restart Shadow’ feature in the settings
- Added ‘Restart Streaming’ feature in the overlay
- Removed iPhone X home indicator when a game controller is active
- Removed ‘Quick Launch’ feature

2) The AppleTV app
After being approved and released yesterday, the Shadow iOS app brought a friend to the party: the Apple TV app

III) Shadow Ghosts and VR
1) Shadow Ghosts (Europe only)
They are out of the chinese factory and are on their way to Paris (for the users who pre-ordered them)! Although, be aware that :
- They still have to go through custom (no information about how long it actually takes)
- Due to the pandemic, deliveries have drastically slowed down.
Therefore, Shadow can’t give an exact ETA for the deliveries of the Shadow Ghosts as there are still uncertainties in this whole process.

Q & A
Q: Any updates on active US users being migrated to the boost pricing?
A: If you did not have the special offer (which was available as of November 2019) you have to go to your account page and designate that you would like to migrate to the shadow based pricing
Q: Any news regarding extra storage in the Amsterdam data center?
A: So far, none, unfortunately. We should see things more clearly when the COVID-19 situation settles down.
Q: Any update on when Shadow will be available in Canada?
A: When it comes to expansion, In Canada or elsewhere, we don’t have any updates or plans to share.
Q: Any idea on how to reduce latency on my Shadow?
